The Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 is moving fast. The First Half is now over, and we already have a lot to share. Teams stayed active, the sports calendar played its part, and the race is far from finished.

The first prize is already on its way

The Kickoff stage ended on June 9, and we already have the first big winner of the season. Team AskBonus topped the opening stage and will now head to the Wimbledon Championships from June 29 to July 12, 2026.

But the Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 is not only about the teams at the top. During the Kickoff stage, we also raffled Mystery Boxes among active participants. Inside were exclusive prizes, including limited-edition FIFA World Cup 2026 jerseys. Each box featured three jerseys from different participating countries.

This is how every stage works. The top 10 teams enter the main prize draw, but Mystery Boxes are open to all active participants. So even if you are not leading today, the race still has plenty to offer.

The leaderboard is taking shape

The race now has a clear frontrunner. Team Lily leads with 6,029 points, with almost 5,200 points coming from sports FTDs.

Team O follows with 2,677 points. The remaining top-five teams hold 750, 504, and 341 points respectively.

The leaderboard is taking shape, but the competition is far from over. With more stages still ahead, there is plenty of time to climb the rankings and challenge the current leaders.

Sport keeps driving the race

Nearly half of all FTDs generated by Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 participants now come from the sports segment. Across partner brands in our portfolio, sport already accounts for about half of all FTDs.

With the FIFA World Cup in full swing, this trend is easy to understand. Major sporting events continue to create opportunities for affiliate teams to attract new players and earn more points.

At the same time, GBA 2026 is designed as a long-distance competition, not a sprint. That is why many teams are also focusing on steady progress. Already, about a third of participants are using the LUCKY FIVE mechanic, which rewards teams with 5 bonus points for generating 10 or more Casino FTDs during the reporting week.

New mechanics for the Second Half

The Second Half started on June 10 and runs until July 19. Its main prize is one of the biggest experiences of the season: a trip to the Formula 1 Grand Prix on September 6.

This stage is still open for new teams. To help them enter the race faster, we introduced WELCOME BOOST. Every new affiliate team gets double points for each FTD during their first 14 days.

Other mechanics are also still active. LUCKY FIVE gives teams 5 bonus points for 10 or more Casino FTDs per week. LAST MINUTES WINNER gives triple points for every FTD during the final 7 days.

Sports FTDs are now worth more too. In the Second Half, teams earn 3 points for each sports FTD, instead of 2 in the first stage. With the FIFA World Cup and Wimbledon running at the same time, this gives sports-focused teams even more room to move.

The final stretch is still ahead

Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 is built so the race stays open until the very end. Once the Second Half is over, the Overtime stage will begin with new prizes, bonus mechanics, and higher point scoring.

That means every active team still has an opportunity to climb the leaderboard. There is still plenty to play for, and every stage can change the standings.

The season will conclude this September in Lisbon during the SBC Summit. Winners across 11 categories will be invited to a secret location for an exclusive networking event, where they will celebrate alongside some of the biggest names in affiliate marketing. We are proud that the Golden Boomerang Awards are seen in our industry as a platform that allows every active affiliate to demonstrate their expertise through competitive rivalry and earn well-deserved recognition. We’re not just talking about prizes here, but about a status that stays with the winners forever, and about the locations where we hold the final awards ceremony. In 2024, it was Cyprus; in 2025, it was the iconic San Siro Stadium in Milan. This was made possible because Boomerang Partners is an Official Regional Partner of AC Milan. How to participate

The basic participation mechanics for the Golden Boomerang Awards have not changed. To earn and accumulate points, participants must drive traffic that generates FTDs for brands in Boomerang Partners’ client portfolio during the tournament period. It’s important to remember that points are awarded for each FTD, but the number varies depending on the GBA stage. This time, there will be three stages:

• First Half / Kick-Off (April 32 – June 9)
• Second Half (June 10 – July 19)
• Overtime (July 20 – August 31)

Affiliate teams can join the Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 at any time and use tournament mechanics to catch up with and overtake the leaders. Nevertheless, we recommend not wasting too much time, because every day lost means competitors are pulling ahead.

Prizes and nominations

Participation is based on a simple, transparent principle: affiliate teams will complete tasks across different segments, earn points, and unlock access to prize draws as their score increases. The more actively you participate, the more opportunities become available.

Unlocking prize draws

As points accumulate, affiliates gain access to five exclusive prize draws. Each draw becomes available after reaching the required point threshold.

The tournament rewards include both branded items and unique AC Milan-related experiences:

• Prize 1 (three sets): TIME TO WIN merchandise packs for a team of five
• Prize 2 (three sets): Official AC Milan jerseys signed by players (five jerseys per set)

• Contributing to PR activities. Affiliates can choose a topic, share their perspective, and earn 30 points by taking part in PR-focused activities.
• SMM creative activity. Participants can create an AI-generated image or video featuring themselves in a new AC Milan kit, publish it on Instagram or LinkedIn with the Boomerang Partners tag and AC Milan Hub link, and earn 25 points.
• ORM activity. Affiliates who share their experience on one of the available platforms and submit confirmation through the Google form receive 20 points.

This year, we’re raising the bar again with the Golden Boomerang League — a new tournament where the winner will qualify for the Golden Boomerang Awards 2026. We’ve also prepared additional prizes – a 2x AC Milan Experience, including flight, accommodation, and attendance at a home AC Milan match. In addition, all participants of the final draw can expect a surprise.

Registration for the Golden Boomerang League affiliate tournament has already started. If you are an active partner, you participate automatically.
